Claire McMenamin is a Senior studying Cinema with minors in Communication and Creative Writing. She joined STN during her freshmen year and was promoted to Associate Producer during her Sophomore year. In her Junior year she was elected Co-General Manger and re-elected as General Manger her Senior year.

Amanda Simmons

Amanda Simmons is a Junior majoring in Digital Media and Journalism. She joined the team during her freshman year and was promoted to News Director in her sophomore year. Amanda has consistently demonstrated her dedication and continues to serve as News Director this year. She expresses her excitement for an impactful and newsworthy year ahead!

Ryan Hughes

Ryan Hughes is a Senior digital media and journalism student from Tewksbury, Massachusetts. After joining STN in his sophomore year, Ryan took over as Sports Director for his junior year (2023-24). After leading the Sports Department to their first year without a missed deadline, Ryan was re-elected as a Co-Sports Director for the 2024-25 school year

Ryan Lewis is a junior Digital Media and Journalism student from Brockton, Massachusetts. After Joining STN in his freshman year, Ryan was named Assistant Sports Director in 2023-24 before being elected as Co-Sports Director for the 2024-25 School Year.

Taylor DePaolo-Daily is a Junior studying Digital Media and Journalism with a focus on Sports Production and minor in Communications. After joining STN in her freshman year, she took over as Chief Photographer for her sophomore year (2023-24). Throughout her time in STN she has secured interviews with Jackson Olson and Jesse Cole from the Savanna Bananas, attended the Safer Communities Summit with a press pass along with being in the season premiere of Hell’s Kitchen with other D-Board members. This is Taylor’s second year as Chief Photographer.

Tom Eytan

Tom Eytan is a reporter, web script writer, and anchor for both the news and sports department. Tom will be receiving his bachelors degree in digital media and journalism with a minor is sports journalism in May of 2025 and plans to work in social media for a company close to his hometown of Canton CT

Makenna Sweeney

MaKenna Sweeney is a senior English/Secondary Education major with a Spanish minor. She joined STN2 during her freshman year. She was previously Commercial Editor during her sophomore year and has been Social Media Manager since her junior year. She dabbles in reporting and anchoring, but her main roles are behind-the-scenes: social media, writing, and prompter.

Jessie Cepeda

Jessie Cepeda is a graduate student in her last year of the Master of Business Administration program. She felt drawn to be a member of STN since she received a bachelor’s degree in social communication with a minor in journalism in her hometown in the Dominican Republic.

Kyle Lavitt is a senior cinema student at the University of Hartford. He joined STN in his junior year. Starting off operating the cameras for STN, he eventually ended up contributing to the other side of the camera. He has since done weather anchoring, news anchoring, and writing packages for broadcast.

Javan DeCarlo

Javan DeCarlo is a versatile member of Stn2, known for his ability to excel in multiple roles. Whether reporting in the field, operating the camera as a photographer, editing in the office, or serving as an engineer in the studio, Javan seamlessly transitions between tasks. He has been a part of Stn2 for two and a half years and is set to complete his bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Production and Journalism this upcoming spring.

Lindsay Binder

Lindsay Binder is a freshman Digital Media and Journalism major at the University of Hartford. Though new to the program, Lindsay is excited to continue her work as a reporter and anchor. After graduation she hopes to work as a color commentator or on-air reporting talent for NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Nathan Shearer is from Voorheesville NY. He is a sophomore with a major in Digital Media and Journalism. He mainly is a sports writer with some experience in reporting.

Mickey Parrella is a senior Digital Media and Journalism student from Southbury, Connecticut. As part of the STN Sports Department, he contributes stories for the live show and webscripts on the STN website. His favorite sport is basketball and his favorite athlete of all time is Jacob deGrom.
